"JLT Graduates Talk" Career Panel Series Continues with Success

The Department of Japanese Language Teaching continues its traditional career event series, "COMU Japanese Language Teaching Department Graduates Talk," bringing together current students and successful alumni from various sectors. Recent sessions highlighted career opportunities in tourism, media, and the industrial sectors.

Insights from the Tourism and Media Sectors In the 14th session of the series, 2010 graduate Merve Özkök shared her extensive professional experience in the tourism industry within both Turkey and Japan. The discussion focused on communication dynamics in Japanese culture, crisis management, and professional conflict resolution. The 15th session featured 2018 graduate Merve Çınar, who discussed her journey from academic studies in Japan to her current role as a Japanese-speaking announcer in Turkey, providing students with a broad perspective on media careers.

Collaborations with Industry Leaders The series also fostered connections with major international companies. The 16th panel was organized in collaboration with Mitsubishi Electric Turkey. Zümray Turuncoğlu (2012 graduate and Corporate Relations Supervisor) and Talent Acquisition Specialist İlayda Buse Çelik provided valuable information regarding corporate roles and recruitment processes for potential graduate candidates.

The 17th and most recent session hosted representatives from AISIN Turkey. Guests Ayvaz Özkan, M. Erhan Atar, and Gülsüm Sayğılı shared their expertise on Japanese corporate culture and professional life, offering students a comprehensive look into the automotive and manufacturing industries.
