Prof. Dr. Yuu Kuribayashi, a faculty member at Okayama University, visited our faculty.
Since 1998, our Department of Japanese Language Teaching has been collaborating with Okayama University. As part of this ongoing partnership, Prof. Dr. Yuu Kuribayashi, a faculty member at Okayama University, visited our faculty. During meetings with Dr. Esra Kıra, who is responsible for communication with Okayama University, and Prof. Dr. Tolga Özşen, Head of the Department of Japanese Language Teaching, a preliminary agreement was reached to organize online joint course activities between Japanese students learning Turkish at the Faculty of Letters, Department of Social and Human Sciences of Okayama University and students from our department.
As part of this visit, a verbal interview for the MEXT Nikkensei Scholarship was conducted by Prof. Kuribayashi, in line with our collaboration agreement with Okayama University. Following the evaluation, it was decided that one student from our department will be recommended to the Japanese Ministry of Education (MEXT) for a fully funded study program at Okayama University next year.
Finally, in a meeting with Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Özdemir, Dean of the Faculty of Education, various aspects of the Turkish and Japanese education systems were discussed. In particular, the integration of artificial intelligence into both countries' education systems was highlighted, and ideas were exchanged on strengthening project-based academic collaboration between the two universities.
